Fall

Careful!
Watch your step
It's that time
Coons, opossums, witches and bats
I'll drink my tea
Begin the ceremony

A full moon
A silent night
If there's a storm
Better for flight!
Parents are gone
It's just me and you

Take a step
In my direction
Words come out like vomit
Vile, smells like mushrooms
The urge to urinate
You hold it

Creepin through the yard
The kids asleep
It's just us now
Show me
What do you know
How do you know it

Strong
Willful
He holds himself back
He tells himself it's ok
The ritual commences
He rants

Fall
The time of year
Our clocks go back
But watch where you walk
You might miss a step
You might fall
